Overview

The United Nations Global Compact is a non-binding pact that encourages businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, with over 20,000 corporate participants in 167 countries. The initiative is based on ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. By mainstreaming these principles, the UN Global Compact aims to catalyse actions in support of broader UN goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement, in collaboration with key stakeholders like the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
