National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a US government agency responsible for monitoring and predicting changes in the Earth's oceans, atmosphere, and climate. NOAA's mission is to understand and predict changes in the Earth's environment, from the depths of the ocean to the surface of the sun, to protect life and property and to promote sustainable economic growth. NOAA works closely with other agencies, such as NASA and the National Weather Service, to achieve its goals.
