Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas, the highest outside Asia, and the highest in both the Western Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, with a summit elevation of 6,967.15 metres. It is one of the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on each of the seven continents, and is located in the Principal Cordillera of the Andes mountain range, in Mendoza Province, Argentina. The mountain and its surroundings are part of Aconcagua Provincial Park, which is home to several glaciers, including the largest one, the [[ventisquero-de-los-penitentes|Ventisquero de los Penitentes]] glacier.
